Elements of Folktales

Some fictional books tell stories that have been passed down orally through families or groups of people for hundreds of years, and these stories are called FOLKTALES (cuento popular).

Folktales share these features: a problem to be solved, the triumph of good over evil, a happy ending, royalty interacting with common people, and characters who represented personal quialities, such as kindness and wisdom.
The story of Cinderella is an example of Folktale.
