Analogies
An analogy is a statement that shows the relationship between two pairs of things or ideas. Both word pairs in an analogy must show the same type of relationship, such as a function to a thing (scissors es to cut), a part to a whole (arm is to body), a characteristic to an object (rough is to sandpaper), or a synonym to an antonym (happy is to sad)
